Review of Port St. Joe, Florida

available high prices for homes
Star Rating - 12/29/2006
Housing in Port St. Joe is readily available, but not affordable. Ever since the paper mill closed several years ago the town has changed from a small close community to a company town for the St. Joe Company. With over 20 reality offices and over 15 banks in town, getting a loan for $850,000 for a new home shouldn't be a problem. Of course one can buy one of the older existing homes for $90,000* that would have sold for $35.000 five years ago.
