Review of Tahlequah, West Virginia

There are three main employers in this community--a state university
an indian tribe, and plant nurseries. If you are not highly degreed
then you will only find clerical jobs. If you are not a cerified card
carrying indian, the tribal preference will eliminate you from their
applicants. If you don't like working with your hands in all kinds
of weather and you don't speak spanish, odds are the nurseries won't
hire you. Sooo--best move on.

I love Tahlequah! It is growing every day. We have excellent employment: 2 hospitals, 14 realtors, 8 pharmacies, hundreds of restaurants, Norhteastern State University, 5 greenhouse nurseries, & American Woodmark (large factory). There is a great airport which accomodates the famous Balloon Fest (hotair). It is home to the filming of the ever popular movie "Where The Red Fern Grows". We have our very own Lake Tenkiller, which includes 3 floating restaurants. There is the widely recognized Illinois River with it's many festivities & places to float. Most of all, Tahlequah is the land of the Cherokees, hosting the Cherokee National Holiday in September, rich in our "Cherokee Native Culture", & proudly portraying the Trail of Tears Drama in our very own outdoor thearter. Visit our website & see it's beauty for yourself. www.cityoftahlequah.com/
