Several years ago I went to Grady New Mexico on my way back to LA. I am Australian and found it interesting that a town should share my Surname. That sparked an interest straight away. I needed to go there and have a look. It was quite a way of the road I was travelling on but worth the drive.
I went to the Senior Citizens meeting hall and had lunch with the local people. It was a great experience for me to meet the towns people for such a small community. The citizens of Grady were extremely friendly to me as I was the only outsider they had seen for some time. Let alone form another country. I had a lovely meal and shared some interesting conversations with the towns folk. I had a little look around and then had to move on. Thank you Grady for making my journey more enriched. It was a great experience.
