Review of Hot Springs, Arkansas

Hot Springs is not the place to retire. Government, Housing, Hospitals are not "Senior Friendly" when you are elderly much less poor. Two classes in HS, (1)elderly, poor (2)Service providers.
Different culture and different ideals are not what most desire when making a life changing move. Most Senior Citizens move out of HS after a few years. Make sure you do your research before ever considering this type of move. In this vulnerable stage in life, trust can no longer be accepted.
Talk to family and friends before jumping into something that looks nice, promoted well, PR does a great job of selling there product.
I personally wouldn't recommend living in this town. My opinion, spent 10 years and still am amazed at how 60'ish they are in the 20th century. If you were born and raised in this town, you are basically happy. Again my opinion, Southerners prefer you stay out of there town if you talk to the locals.
Try driving down town HS and being 65. Gives you an idea of how HS is really geared.
Everyone's got Horror stories to tell, just seems lately are coming out of this town. I have a problem when the elderly and poor are taken advantage anywhere.
Research local government. I'm amazed how many people move into a area, but never really know how the town is run and by whom.

You sound like a loser who failed to save for retirement and now blaming your failures on the government. Typical liberal looser. Blame everything on someone else. Look in the mirror and ask yourself who screwed up your life. I am a victim of child abuse and a high school dropout who worked hard to get my GED, became an electrician only to lose my job because of the economy in 1980s, went back to tech school to become an aircraft mechanic only to lose my Eastern Airline job. I went back to school at age 34 and became a registered nurse (RN-BSN). My wife is a Filipina immigrant (legal) who went to school to become a dental hygienist. We own six houses in which three are now paid off. We NEVER asked the government for handout and did not blame our hardships on anyone. Get a life and accept that you caused your own failure.
