So I've been here since I was 12. My family on both sides is from here. The scenery is great, the town leaves more to be desired for certain. Fast food places and gas stations are the focal point. There is some small business but nothing to gush about. We need some culture in a hurry. Also, could be way less Republican. Too many "good ol boys" not looking past the way they were raised to a more informed point of view. People sure are nice to your face though but goodness if you turn your back near the wrong church crowd how the whispers fly. Don't get me wrong, at face value I love my little spot in the woods, but we could use a bit of fresh air. -S.
