South Pittsburg is no place for anyone.

Ive lived in this this city for almost 20 years and ive not seen much to be positive about. The property taxes are 99.9%. No matter what you read or hear the crime rate is quite high. Between the meth-heads and drug dealers you don't have many options as far as safe areas. Gangs from one town and another consistently go at each other and use S. Pittsburg as their go between. We have had mayors that steal from the city funds not to mention other city employees that have stolen funds equaling well over 1 million dollars. Banks here are allowed to take properties and homes without cause and the lawless police get away with some pretty unspeakable things. The schools are horrific with teachers that like to be hands on with the female students. Other teachers treat students like crap while praising the bad behavior of others. There are NO jobs. The utility companies and city are constantly fleecing the citizens. About 55% of South Pittsburg is a flood zone where only about 25% actually floods. This town is not worth visiting or living in, that's why im moving my butt out of here. Im not the only one considering since 2000 South Pittsburg has lost 6% of its population. Hopefully this town will be nothing more than ghost town soon, that way all those who have taken and taken from the people of S. Pittsburg will have nothing more to take.
