the crime rate ran me out of town 3 years ago. its ranked 0.5 on a scale of 0-5, 5 being the best. you will be a victim of some sort of crime unless you stay indoors with doors and windows locked. buy a gun and get license to carry it. there is a prison there and the city didnt have the incite to realize that familys of criminals come with them. they may build another one to boot. there is a goodyear plant employing at best 1500. thats all there is as far as getting a job. oh unless you want to work at a prison for 7.80 per hr. there has been reporting that they even have gangs that are in the military at ft. sill, google that too. dont travel alone at night. wheres the police you ask ? dont ask me ! if you like extremes in weather its great. if your a male looking for a companion forget it. ft. sill troops take the females with them when they leave town. about the only good thing i can think of about lawton is cameron university but they ran off the football team years ago. im in norman oklahoma now and i really like it. young progressive and very friendly. parks with lots of trees, football in the fall. stop in norman folks on your way to okla. city.
