Review of Farmington, Connecticut

Great Education System, Many Healthcare Jobs, but
Star Rating - 8/20/2009
If you work in the health insurance industry, and have school-age kids, this is a great place. The liberal, progressive culture is also a plus (to some people).

However, housing prices and taxes are both high. Most housing "developments" are pale shadows of what you will find in, say, North Carolina. No grid system for streets, few sidewalks, etc. And the winters are cold and snowy--for two months.

All in all, a great place to live.
