Cost of living has gone up

When I moved here in 1997, this was still a quite little place. In the ensuing 10 years, many people from New Jersey and New York have moved here to escape the high cost of living expense in those areas. This exodus has driven up the cost of living in this area. The most dramatic increase has been in the cost of housing.
