Review of Amado, Arizona

Your review of Arivaca is far outdated, we are a community of about 3000. Which is sprend over many many acres of open cattle range. There are no schools in Arivaca, only a general store/gas station ,post office (our only goverment agent building) 1 bar and 6 churches of different denominations. There are not many "real" jobs in our fair town. City is a stretch... Most folks out here work for themselves creating jobs where needed. For the most part it is a cattle town that retired and artist people have moved into and kept it going. It is a beatiful area, we have a 90 area lake well stocked with bass and blue-gill. Many campers and hunters use the open state land surrounding the town at different times of the year. All in all a wonderful place to live, altho illegals coming up from Mexico can be bothersome, ie. leaving trash; in the form of emtpy water containers and discarded backpackes in many of the washes. They (the illegals) genreally stick to themselves, will ask for water and food, but as a rule are polite when doing so. We have a large presents of border patrol in our area, but it does not seem to put a dent in the traffic north. I hope this has shed some light on this area of the state.
