I own a house in South Carolina, Why is my taxes 2x as much as what everyone else pays. Where is the law that states that if I live in New York, that I much pay double the taxes. Something is wrong in the town that I was born in, or the county is cheating me out of my money. I have a friend in N.Y. who also own in S.C. and she does not have this problem. Someone please explain ,what's going on? I plan on seeking the advice of a lawyer.RJ.
