In Montgomery County, Burtonsville has it's own small park, and close access to several more, giving resitidents a multitude of outdoor activities easily accessable. The county also offers many affordable indoor classes and activities at rec centers, and the metro provides easy access to Washington, DC offering all the culture and activities of city life.
You will experience all four seasons here, though winters are unpredictable, with an occassional year carrying a heavy storm or two, and an occassional year with barely a snowflake. Summers actually seem to be milder recenntly, with fewer sweltering 100 degree days than I recall in my Maryand youth. Temperatures typically peak in mid August in the high 90s.
