I disagree. Certainly not overcrowded at all, the density on Portsmouth is less than most cities its size and statistics prove that. Some of the nicest people I have met and I have traveled the entire country. I don't understand what traffic you refer to as I have never had any issue traveling in the city whatsoever, its nice to drive and have no traffic. More visitors than ever now so people see to love coming to visit. Housing costs are high, but that part of the price of entry. As for taxes, there is no state tax, income tax and property taxes are lower than MA. Winters are winters, welcome to New England; either enjoy the charm of them or not. Its a personal preference for sure.
I just want to understand your note but maybe you can shed some light on your position. Because I have a hard time understanding your points.
