Avoid unless you want Covid exposure

I have been here 7 years and until Covid hit, I thought is was okay despite a large number of Confederate flags. Covid brought the worst in people. I have been threatened in stores and parking lots for wearing a mask, both pre- and post-vaccine. One person made sure I knew he was armed. I am a heart patient would like to continue to live. People here associate mask wearing with being a liberal. Our vaccination rate is very low and it is clear that people don’t respect science. My wife and I are moving as soon as possible to a town where more educated people live.
