Northwest is very disappointing

DuPont WA itself is great. There are problems in this entire area though. Minor and felony crime, shootings, drugs and homelessness are quickly rising mainly due to police and prosecution cut backs and lax enforcement. Prices around here were always very high for everything but are now even worse with resent high inflation. Our grocery bill is twice as high as in Virginia for example. It’s like with all the high technology companies around all businesses figure everyone has a six figure income and can afford high prices. If you hike or boat it’s a great area. If you swim or fish forget it. No beaches. There are so many fishing, oyster and clamming regulations it’s very difficult figuring out where and when you can fish for a particular specie. It’s probably to confusing to even create an app. There’s only one real north south highway and few east west highways so you’re always in for either heavy traffic or a long ride no matter where you go. Natives are used to this normal but coming here from almost anywhere else is disappointing. Kids basically lost over a year of learning during Covid. On line learning here is a joke.
