Review of Kingston, Ohio

Star Rating - 11/17/2009
There's not much in the way of excitement or major events, yet Kingston's people do put on some great communiry invovled festivals.
No it's not New York , or Columbus or even Circleville.
And that's just fine.
Kingston is a place you know them and they know you...people that is.
If you new, they'l speak if you do too.
Great bar and pizza place there.
A nice restaruant with adult drinks and very good lunch specials, also.
Ran by a man named Steve as I recollect.
Tall lanky fella..reminds me of the Scarecrow in "Wizard of Oz"
Library is small but has good computers and very knowledgeable people.

There's the mysterious never opened Masonic Lodge right smack dab in the middle of the village.
Now there are lots of stories about what has gone on in there and what still goes on in there, but I'm not one to gossip.

A postage stamp size park is just a perfect place to sit and take a Think.
Something very romantic about sitting there on the bench on a summer's night with a wonderful lady with big eyes that just melt the eyelets right off your shoe strings.

The Kingston national Bank is made up of a group of some of the finest, most helpful, serious but also light hearted people you'll find anywhere.
The great thing about KNB is that they'll listen to WHY you need a loan.
I know they did with me way back in 1997 when I was really hurting.
The direcotor of that bank is really a wonderful lady with a great family and as grandpa would say, "She's purdier than a speckled pup".

In Kingston you can write and paint and never run out of subject matter.
Great fishing around those parts, also.

If you need to scratch that itch for big city events, you're only a few miles from Columbus when you'll find lots of major size city things.

But it's back roads and dusty swirlers where you'll find some great place of character and some great Characters.

If you're single and just want to be in a place where you can be you, it's Kingston...Kingston, Ohio---"Come Enjoy the Quiet"
