I am replying to an old post: You are a military man, so quit complaining about a place you were ordered to live. Don't join the military in your next life, you are here to train for war, not live in the best city in the world. Clovis wasn't built to satisfy some whining, undeserving grunt. Why are the cops corrupt? Did you get a speeding ticket and had to pay, quit whining? You should be well devoid of any criminal activity in the military. Clovis is close to 1000's of FAMOUS areas to explore. Quit whining and enjoy your life. Clovis is rough on singles, so make an effort. Join a church, join a club, or volunteer and help people. Drive outside on a dark night and look up and you will see 180 degrees of the brightest stars. Places to see that are Close to Clovis to never forget: Clovis/Portales archeology site/museum, the Stars, Carlsbad Caverns, White Sands, Trinity site, Ruidoso area, Santa Fe area, Taos areas, ABQ area, Las Cruces, Roswell, Four corners, the mountains, the lakes, the rivers, Socorro/Elephant Butte lake, Virgin/NM Spaceport, Silver City, all the Indian ruins/casinos/pueblo's/jewelry/etc, Western heritage museums, Palo Duro Canyon, Canadian river areas, and so much more.
