Although, I feel safe here, statically crime is high. People are generally unfriendly and provincial. After a few years, I still do not know my neighbors whom go out of their way not to interact. Policing is strong but overbearing with police being uneducated and with little knowledge or concern for civil rights etc. Housing is old, rundown and overpriced because of it's proximity to Madison. Most commute to work. Residents are largely uneducated and lower middle class. Loud trucks and fireworks seem a favorite of the yocals. If you didn't grow up here, you won't be welcome. They are suspicious and afraid of new people, rude and just generally low class. I would not live here again and recommend that you select another location.
