This place had the nice surface vibe of a small town. But there was a lot below the surface. There used to be a high suicide rate. Long-term residents would keep grudges alive, even over generations. The grudges damaged family owned businesses. I think a lot of people there traumatized each other. But the people still living there are probably too shell-shocked to see it as trsuma.
