I moved to Boynton Beach and purchased a home in June 2004. My equity jumped $143,000 in 2 years. That's the good news. The bad news is property tax and insurance has skyrocketed as well. It is expensive to live here. The crime rate has also increased. Many people are moving away because of the high expense, the hurricanes, and crime. I'll probably sell my home and move as soon as the housing market makes an upward swing.
