This city has been the trash heap of North Louisiana for decades now and it looks like there is no plans to change that. There are some modern shopping centers in the suburban areas but they are almost all on one very congested monster of a road (Youree Drive), which forbids U-Turns for some strange reason. Otherwise, the biggest claim to fame in this place is the sky high murder rate and the casinos. Most of the people here are very poor/uneducated and about on every corner you'll see a classic "seedy" establishment like a strip joint or a payday loans service. If that's your kind of city, have at it. Otherwise, you might want to save your money and head to DFW.
