comments on Downers Grove

I will have to completely disagree with Beverly's comments on Downers Grove and ask, "does she even live in this town anymore?" While it's true that Downers Grove is becoming more expensive and many of the new houses are not affordable for low and even some middle income families, I find the comments about gangs and drugs to be completely untrue. I feel safe walking around any area of Downers Grove and believe the town is very safe, fun and great for families and kids. The schools (especially North) are outstanding and the downtown area has gotten some nice stores, restaurants and bars. This town is so much better than some of the new "cookie cutter" areas. Even with the increase in tear-downs, you can still walk around and see homes from all periods. For the most part (and of course with some exceptions), people keep their areas neat and the town is clean and safe. Maybe Beverly should walk around a little more.
