Nice little town, but . . .

I lived in Lehighton for the first 35 years of my life, then I finally had to get out. I was going nowhere. Lehighton is known for people being born and raised there and never leaving, so people couldn't actually believe that I left. If you don't have a job with the school district or at the hospital, your commute will be 20 miles at minimum. However, Lehighton has been expanding over the years because it is a rather cheap alternative to living in Allentown. My whole family is still in Lehighton so I visit about twice a year or so, and on every visit I like to check out what has changed, and the changes are usually minimal to nonexistent. I think, however, that most people that live there are truly happy there.
