I was really excited about the potential of moving to Celebration before I moved to the area. Previously, I had lived in the Orlando area for over three years and left. What drew me to Celebration was the proximity to Disney...I do enjoy going as much as I want. But, like most places, Celebration isn't perfect. My biggest complaint is trying to just drive down the streets to get to my house...there are so many cars parked on the sides of the street that it makes it very difficult to get through. You know Florida drivers, a lot of them always think they have the right of way, so there's not much yielding going on. Also, with driving, I have had some close calls with people running stop signs, not even bothering to tap their brakes.
Aside from the bad drivers in the area (by the way, the bad drivers and several cars parked on the street are residents of the area, not tourists), it is a nice area to walk (just watch out for cars!). Also, most of the people have been friendly and will greet you while walking on the sidewalk. People actually pick up their dog poop and seem to take pride in the appearance of the neighborhood (which drew me to the area).
Living in this area isn't for everyone. From living here, I've realized I do not want my neighbors to be so close; I do not enjoy listening to screaming children in their backyard pool.
