The restaurants in the Maitland and Orlando area are terrible. The chains dominate and small family owned restaurants have a hard time. If you move here plan on cooking your own food or eating at Darden restaurants.

Maitland proper may be a little bit short on great dining, but Winter Park, Mills Park and College Park are 10-15 minutes away and there are LOTS of places that are not chains. Also Ivanhoe Village has great vintage shopping and dining so do not despair! It is very centrally located
