Tempe - better than many people think - and gettin - 5/2/2008
I've lived in Phoenix for almost 9 years and just recently bought a connected home in the Brownstone development near ASU. I find that the area near ASU and Tempe Town Lake is nice and getting nicer. The park at Tempe Town Lake has a number of festivals throughout the year and the lake area is a great place to walk/run/hangout and the new Tempe Center for the Arts, also by Tempe Town Lake has great cultural events throughout the year. I really like the area and in December of 2009 the new light rail system will be in place and will give non-driving access to all the cultural and sports events in Downtown Phoenix. Sure the summers are hot but the area has a lot to offer and if you buy in the new developments by the lake, there appears to be a lot of opportunity for future increases in property value.
