4 generations, La Puente will always be AWFUL! - 7/29/2021
My family have lived here for 4 generations. My great grandparents got a house here after working hard back in the 70’s. During the time they have lived here, Gangs started showing up all over town and they killed my grandpa’s brothers and cousins. My grandpa couldn’t get a descent education without getting tied with the gang at school or else they will mess with yo familia. Then my grandpa opened up a car shop. Again, they still need to pay up to local gangs in order to be left alone. The money used for the shop is remortgage from my great grandparents house. My grandpa couldn’t pay off the loan in his lifetime cus my grandma got sick, then my father when he was young, then his sister got pneumonia, and it was like that for a while. My father took over house, loan, and business. My father was a good man but the prices to keep the business, rising tax, stupid LP officials, family and college for his kids he just couldn’t make it and a dumbass cholo shot him while working late (6 pm) Read More
