I live in what is known as the Pocket area of south Sacramento. We have apartment complexes, condos, duplexes, and single family homes from very modest to very nice. Some developments are around man-made lakes (2) and others are on one of the branches of the rivers that make this the "pocket."

Green areas along the canal that has paved walking/biking paths. Shopping centers, gyms, coffee places, schools within walking distance, banks, medical offices, etc., everything that makes this a 'village' atmosphere. Many of the homes were built in the '80's and have had some updating, others are still waiting. I think this is one of the best, varied housing options areas Read More
