While San Francisco has tremendous appeal, living here is all about trade offs. More salary, more rent (or housing cost), less space. Not so great public schools, expensive but good private schools. Homeless & street people, great people watching. Small area, but takes a time to get around.
Lots and lots to do within minutes or a couple of hours. Great place - not that great to raise kids
