Amazing Outdoor Adventure Town! - 4/4/2019
We moved to Alamosa in 2017 from Boulder County which is an amazing place to live but way to crowded and expensive. You give up some of the city amenities moving to a small town but you gain much more.

If you are an outdoors person at all you will absolutely love it here! The Rio Grande river runs through town and perfect for paddle boarding or tubing. The Sangre de Cristos, San Juan mountain ranges and Great Sand Dunes are nearby offering spectacular views and adventure: Backpacking, sand boarding, hiking, trail running skiing and mountain biking WITHOUT the crowds of other Colorado cities......YET.

Wolf Creek ski area is a little over an hour away and offers the best skiing in Colorado without the I70 traffic to deal with. This place gets the most snow in Colorado and has chairlift service, side country with snow cat access and backcountry along with Nordic ski track.
