The Colorado Springs Experience Varies - 7/10/2019
I moved here in 2002 from New York City. It was a massive cultural shift but I had friends to help me transition. I spent a few years renting and then bought a house in 2010. Colorado Springs has changed a lot since I moved here, but overall I would say that the general ambiance and culture is unchanged and good enough for me.
Reading some of the other reviews has been pretty amusing. Seems like folks like to come and rant about their pet peeves. Nothing wrong with that. I'll try to be as even-handed as I can.
First, some of the others are absolutely correct that your experience in Colorado Springs is going to depend on two things: where you live and what you do. Jobs are fairly plentiful in the Springs - minimum wage jobs. If you're looking for a professional salary, you'd better have something lined up before you come here.
