Police please! - 8/5/2009
I have lived in hudson for 4 years. My husband and I bought our home here in a bit of a hurry, and moved from the western slope. I was suprised as I talked with our new neighbors that they told me " there is no police dept here". I was more shocked than suprised actually. I realy wish I had even thought of checking that, I had done research about schools, crime and jobs. But never saw anything about no police. So to go on, there was a survey sent out a couple of years ago from the town about whether or not residents would vote yes, or no, on having a police dept. and if they would mind the tax increase of $20. - $40. dollars. Well most said no. After that I was wondering so I started asking everyone I knew about it. Most of the people I know live here in town, and they all said they would have said yes. It is my opinion that since the majority of the population lives outside of the town, also the ones who don't deal with minor crimes such as yard decos going missing and vandalism, Read More
