Context:
Thomaston, Connecticut (zip code 06787) is a small town located in northwestern Connecticut. With a population of just over 7,500, it offers a tight-knit community feel and a suburban-rural mix of living. The town is known for its historic downtown district and scenic views of the Naugatuck River. However, like any other place, there are some positives and negatives to living in Thomaston. Here are some reviews from different individuals who have lived in the town.

User Reviews:
1) "I have lived in Thomaston for over 20 years and it truly feels like home. It's a small town where everyone knows each other, and the sense of community is strong. The downtown area is charming, with great local shops and restaurants. However, the job market is limited and it can get pretty quiet here. But if you're looking for a peaceful and friendly place to live, Thomaston is perfect." - Emily S.

2) "I moved to Thomaston four years ago and it's been a great experience. The quality of life is fantastic, with low crime rates and great schools. The town also has plenty of parks and outdoor activities to enjoy. The only downside is the lack of diversity and entertainment options, but the nearby cities of Waterbury and Hartford make up for that." - Michael B.

3) "Thomaston is a beautiful town with a rich history. The people are friendly and the town is very safe. However, the cost of living here is quite high and the property taxes can be a burden. Also, the winters can be harsh, so make sure you're prepared for that." - Sarah D.

4) "I have lived in Thomaston my whole life and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. It's a small town where everyone looks out for each other. There are great schools and plenty of local events and fairs to enjoy. The downside is that there's not much to do here for young adults and the housing market is competitive. But overall, it's a great place to raise a family." - Alex T.

Great place to live! - 7/20/2011
Having lived many places in Connecticut and having seven children, Thomaston is a great place to live. I have children in all of the public schools at the moment and they love their schools. Many great family places including Black Rock State Park, several old fashioned ice cream shops, Thomaston Opera House(great shows), Seth Thomas Clock Museum, and the Light Up the Town festival every year around Christmas. Very nice place to raise a family. Crime is very, very low. Awesome place to Read More
