Good general information. Longboat Key is actually in 2 counties, the Northern 1/2 in Manatee County and the Southern 1/2 in Sarasota county. The average household income is more around $110,000+. The average age is 73 years old. The few ( less than 300 less than 18 years old) children go to either Manatee or Sarasota county schools.
I was born in Sarasota and have for the last 50 years lived in the Manatee county portion in the old Fishing Village part of town.
