This area includes the small beachtowns immediately north and west of St. Petersburg include Madeira Beach, Redington Beach, N. Redington Beach, and Redington Shores. These towns are located along a narrow strip of off shore barrier islands lying between the beautiful Gulf of Mexico's white sandy beaches and the InterCoastal waterways. Although located just a few miles from the urban attractions of Tampa and St. Petersburg, they are a world apart in terms of a slower paced tempo of life, less crime, and of course beautiful beaches with ample public parks and access.
