The city of Columbus, GA, located in the Chattahoochee Valley region, is known for its mix of southern hospitality and military history. Home to Fort Benning and the National Infantry Museum, Columbus offers a plethora of exciting events and activities for all ages. From exploring the downtown area and visiting some of the many parks in town to experiencing unique attractions such as Whitewater Express and the Coca-Cola Space Science Center, there's always something to do here. As far as reviews go, Columbus residents have had mostly positive experiences with their city. The people who live here are friendly and welcoming, the economy is strong, and the various attractions are some of the best in Georgia. The cost of living is relatively low compared to other cities in Georgia as well. And although there can be traffic congestion at times due to an influx of tourists during certain times of year, overall it's a great place with plenty to offer its residents both young and old.
