Charming Town from historic Civil War Era - 10/26/2022
Just Charming. If you would like to step back in time with an emphasis on history, Springfield has a lot to offer. It's in the Registry of National Historic places. Oak St has some pre-Civil War homes. Sherman' s Major General stayed over night here on "The March to the Sea". History of one of these homes, a confederate soldier was hidden, the home was then searched in 1864 and he was not found by the Union Soldiers~youtube: Civil War home: The Ramsey House c..1831 in Effingham County.
