This is an unincorporated area in NW Lake County,IL, 40 miles north of Chicago city limits. There are many small lakes suitable for small motorboats and sailboats. We are 10 miles from the Chain-o-Lakes recreational area. Cost of living is c.$2000/acre cheaper than in the surrounding villages because we have wells and septics. One up side is that you need 2 lots to properly space a well and septic. I have 4/5 A and pay $5000 in taxes. 75% of my taxes are new schools, which are overcrowded before the first class graduates. The schools are good, if you watch what district you are in. It is a good place to raise
