Expensive, summer traffic, hospital monopoly. - 10/2/2021
I have lived and worked here as a medical professional for the local healthcare company. There are only five primary care physicians taking new patients for the entire cape. The main health are system has a monopoly on the entire cape. They have great difficulty keeping primary care physicians. There are a few specialists but they take long times to get an appointment. Cape Cod is over run by tourists in the summer and many, who can afford it have bought or built new and larger 2nd+ homes since the pandemic. Summer traffic is terrible. Don't even try to make a left turn. The grocery prices go up in the summer and never come down. It is very nice here. But one has to wonder if it is worth
