What BestPlaces Users Say about Lexington

Lexington, Michigan, with its population of just over 1,100, is a small beach town located on the shores of Lake Huron. Known for its charming downtown area, sandy beaches, and friendly community, Lexington is a popular tourist destination and a beloved place to call home for many residents. However, as with any town, there are both positive and negative aspects that come with living there. To get a well-rounded understanding of what it's like to live in Lexington, we will summarize a variety of user reviews from BestPlaces.net.

1. In a review titled "A hidden gem on the Great Lakes," user Sarah R. shares her love for Lexington, stating, "The sense of community here is unlike anything I've experienced before. Everyone knows each other and is willing to lend a helping hand when needed. Plus, the beach is a dream - clean and quiet."

2. On the other hand, in a review titled "Small town struggles," user Mike S. expresses his frustrations with the lack of job opportunities in Lexington, saying, "Finding work here is a constant struggle. Most people have to commute to nearby towns for employment, which can be draining and time-consuming."

3. User Jenny H. shares her positive experience as a parent in Lexington in her review titled "A wonderful place to raise a family." She writes, "The school system here is fantastic and there are plenty of activities for kids to do. My family and I feel safe and supported in this tight-knit community."

4. Lastly, in a review titled "Not for everyone," user John D. highlights some of the downsides of living in Lexington, stating, "The winters can be brutal and there isn't much to do here. It's definitely a place for people who enjoy a slower pace of life and are content with a small town atmosphere."

In conclusion, Lexington, Michigan has its pros and cons, as seen through the various user reviews on BestPlaces.net. While the community and beach are highly praised, job opportunities and entertainment options may be limited. However, for those who appreciate a small town feel and a strong sense of community, Lexington may just be the perfect place to call home.

Drive through the Worth Township section of MI Highway 25. It's a scene from Deliverance. The side roads are even worse.
