Not many reasons to stay . . . - 1/3/2008
We are a young family and moved here 1 year ago from further North. Michigan has really gone down hill economically as a whole, and that is evident in Oxford. On the positive side, the school system seems outstanding. Okay, on to the negatives. . . unless you have 2 well educated individuals in your household, don't bother. Most everyone lives in subdivisions with costly homes. The homes in town have character, but many are run down. I can't find a job, even though I have a degree. Our daughter's bicycle was stolen over holiday break, and we just got a foot of snow. We're running out of reasons to remain in Michigan.
