Atkins Glen in Woodcliff Lake on Bear Brook - 4/5/2008
Living on the glen in Woodcliff Lake is beautiful! In the winter, it looks like the Black Forest of Germany when it snows. You can walk down to Atkins Glen park and sled the hill. In the fall, it is a blaze of color. The spring is like watching the world wake up. The ducks come home and nest and you watch the ducklings grow all spring. In summer, the kids splash and fish and explore all the way down to the reservoir, up the waterfalls and through the ponds. They build dams and skim rocks and jump in swimming holes. You feel completely removed from the rest of Bergen County, it's like a slice of fresh air heaven. The air is cooler in the hot months and with all the trees, it smells cleaner year round.
