Eldorado at Santa Fe - 1/3/2016
Nice southwestern community. Very strict covenants. Lots are large-1.2-10 acres. Quiet, low crime, less expensive than Santa Fe, which is just 12 miles away. Cost of living in general is higher than we want when we retire, but for a nice community in northern New Mexico, it is not bad. Has a small shopping center with grocery, restaurant, Doctor, dentist, hardware store etc so you don't have to drive into town. Also has senior center, library, community center with pool (summer only), 14 miles of paved trails for biking and walking. Nature preserve with hiking and mountain biking is nearby. Nice place to retire if you can manage the higher
