unique, eclectic, yet the old west lives on here - 5/26/2008
we live in an area called sanctuary hts. about 15-20 minute drive to Silver City ; population about 11,000. Our neighborhood is comprised of folks who like quiet, some have horses, and deer,occasional elk, rabbits, squirrels,many species of birds abound. Gila Wilderness is behind our property and great access for hiking, riding,meditating, communing with beautiful, green vistas and quiet.
UP teh road apiece, 7 minutes maybe by car is Pinos Altos complete with an ice cream parlor/post office,curio shop,diner, free video rentals and books too; friendly folks run it and u cna catch up on what's happening and who to:) Our spread is a true sanctuary and could easily become home to multi generational family,or be a bed n breakfast which is needed up here. I'm an island girl and hubby is a lake guy from MIchigan and we feel drawn to go back to water roots.
