Brockport, New York, located in Monroe County, is a small village with a population of around 8,300 people. It is known for its scenic parks, historic architecture, and local college, SUNY Brockport. The zip code 14420 encompasses the entire village, and it has received mixed reviews from its residents. Some praise its community feel and scenic location, while others have expressed concerns about the cost of living and job opportunities.

Here are four excerpts from different user reviews about living in Brockport, New York, in the 14420 zip code:

1) "I have lived in Brockport for almost 20 years now and I absolutely love it. It's a small town, but has a strong sense of community. There are always events and festivals happening downtown, and the parks and trails are perfect for outdoor activities. It's a great place to raise a family." - Samantha F.

2) "While Brockport is a charming place, the cost of living here is quite high. Rent prices are steep, and it can be difficult to find affordable housing. The job market is also limited, so it can be tough for young professionals to find work. I love the community, but it's definitely not the most affordable place to live." - Nick S.

3) "I've been living in Brockport for a few years now and I really enjoy it. It's a beautiful area with a lot of historic buildings and interesting architecture. The downtown area is bustling with local businesses and restaurants. The only downside is that it can get a bit quiet in the winter, but I don't mind it too much." - Emily G.

4) "I grew up in Brockport and have many fond memories, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it as a place to live long-term. The job market is limited and the cost of living is high. It's a great place to visit and explore, but I eventually had to move to a bigger city for better opportunities." - Ryan M.

After being out in the world to such places as Boston, Seattle and Phoenix I can say with confidence, Brockport has simple pleasures you can't find in big cities with one of the best school systems I've ever seen. There's so much potential in Brockport with it's proximity to large cities yet away from it all. A large State University offering degrees in Nursing, math, science and the Liberal Arts. It's a place that sometimes seems lost in time, with it's annual carnivals and old Victorian style homes lining the main road right through the center of town and the Erie canal, in all it's glory, cutting a perpendicular course against it.
Winters are cold and snowy, summers are warm and green. (not too hot for too long) Lake Ontario is only 15 miles to the north for picnics, camping, swimming and boating. Ice Read More
