Brooklyn, NY - 10/20/2009
Brooklyn's Clinton Hill/Fort Greene community is home to Pratt Institue, St. Joseph College, Brooklyn Academy of Music, MACADA Museum, Fort Greene Park as well as many artists, musicians, fashion designers, TV producers and many other professionals. You are never more than a few blocks from a favorite restaurant, sushi bar, live music, or just a walk in the park. On Saturdays the park can turn into an outdoor concert hall, or a giant disco field where everyone comes to dance. The Green Market with a variety of fresh vegetables from local growers. The tomatoe vendor's selection rivals any food chain in the area is just one of the small town features that makes the largest borough of New York City feel like my little home town.

This neighborhood is often called Clinton Hill or Fort Greene and it's one of the up an coming gem's of Brooklyn. The shop keepers are friendly, there are new trendier restaurants popping up all the time. It's truly a mixed race and everyone seems to get along great. Subways are all near enough to walk within 10 minutes or bus it to the subway quickly. The biggest downside is quality of life and time to relax or be creative is minimal in order to keep up. Most of my friends are too busy to really spend quality time together and commuting from one side of the city to the other deters the quality and quantity of get togethers you would have in another smaller
