Forest Hills is not recommended - 1/25/2018
The good is it is commutable to Manhattan and there is more space available in apartments. But there are so many unpleasant aspects of the neighborhood and I've spent three years here and am very happy to leave shortly. It's an unfriendly neighborhood and attracts a selfish cut of people. For example, it's dirty. Even though the streets are swept each week, there's always a lot of garbage and dog droppings. People are rude and rushed and the driver's are simply dangerous. It's also unattractive, the overall architecture is ugly and the new, giant houses that are being built are horribly oversized and poorly designed.
