Re-live the civil war a confederate disaster. - 5/30/2019
A true storybook horror show. Phony smiles, all about the tourism dollars. Locals never leave the county, they control the courts, the sherriff dept., politics, etc. They view themselves as confederates and embrace and love the confederate flag. Still angry over the civil war loss. They teach their children that they were on the right side over the civil war. Locals of western NC especially Madison County, NC have a real hatred for Yankees and halfbacks. Save yourself the anguish, don't visit here and don't buy property
