I like Poteau and ive been everywhere - 2/28/2019
There are no reviews for Poteau so I feel obligated to add one. I have been here for 7 years, 4 in an apartment and 3 in a house. The apartment was near Bill J. Barber park which was great, we would walk to the park and play or run the paved loop for exercise. The house is off of pleasant valley which is great, much more space for all activities, riding bicycles in the zero traffic road, gardening in the back yard, wood working/carpentry in the garage. My kids do Soccer in the spring and fall. They do Basketball in the spring and fall. We hike the Ceder lake trail and in the Ouachita mountains. We are very active with the local Scout troop. It is not fair for me to write about the Cons of Poteau, I work with the ambulance service so I see more of the negative stuff than a normal citizen would. There is meth use in the area but its much less than bigger cities and like I said I see it more than a normal person would. The police service is great. The fire department is great. I would
