Living in the Poconos - 6/19/2009
The Poconos is a beautiful area located approx 2 hrs northeast of New York City. There are 4 distinct seasons here and that draws a lot of people from the city with usually summer festivals and winter skiing drawing many. There are a great many things to do and places to see. Hotels and motels are plentiful.
The area has suffered from a great unflux of people moving here to escape the city life sometimes bringing their problems along with them. Taxes have ridden steadily over the years causing residents to suffer. Rents have risen steadily because of more people moving in and more schools being built which adds to the burden.
